Garba Lawal Points Finger At Super Eagles Coach For Tyronne Ebuehi Gaffe

Retired Nigeria international  for the embarrassment caused the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super EagleGarba Lawal has blamed coach Gernot Rohrs faithful in the wake of the withdrawal of Tyronne Ebuehi from the latest squad that will take on Algeria in a World Cup qualifier later this month.

It can be reiterated that the German and French based manager never directly approached the ADO Den Haag right fullback regarding his availability for the game in Uyo before announcing his squad list, with his agent confirming as much when interviewed by this website.
“We don’t know whether they talked to him, we have to speak to the coach because we don’t know how the name came up, it is an embarrassment, ” said Garba Lawal
“They don’t inform Nigerians before calling them up but his own case is different, he was born in Netherlands. They would have talked to him first to know which country he wants to play for.”

The former Roda winger added : “The coach (Rohr) is based in Germany, Germany to Holland is a short distance. The coach has to fly and meet him at his club. There is foul play somewhere.

“Ebuehi doesn’t know the African mentality, it is not his fault. ”

Tyronne Ebuehi was born in Haarlem, Netherlands to a Dutch mom and a Nigerian dad, therefore, he can represent the Super Eagles if the grandfather rule is invoked especially as he has never played for his country of birth.
