Nigerian striker, Godwin Obaje is set to sign a contract
with Russian side, Spartak Moscow after impressing during a two week trials
with the club, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Obaje was the top scorer in the Nigeria Professional
Football League in the 2015/2016 season scoring 18 goals for Wikki
Tourists who finished in the third position in the table.
"It was a successful trials for me as they (Spartak
Moscow) were impressed with my performance in training sessions," the
former JUTH FC striker told Completesportsnigeria.com on
arrival from Russia on Monday.
"My agent is in talks with the club officials and every
other details will be sorted out soon.
" It is my dream to play in Europe and I hope to actualise
that this time around."
The forward was close to securing a transfer to Slovakian
side, AS Trencin last year but the move broke down over contractual disputes.
