Katsina
United are considering choosing from four states they have pencilled
down for the final part of their pre-season build up which they hope to
go to next week before the start of the Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) season.
The club returned to the elite division
at the end of last season after topping their Nigeria National League
(NNL) group and the head coach of the side, Bala Nikyu told SportingLife that the club have stepped up preparation to ensure that they make a meaningful impact in the next season’s campaign.
He revealed that he retained the 22
players he met on ground from last season and will add new players based
on the directives from the management on the number of players they
intend using for next season.
The former Flamingoes coach hinted that
by the weekend they will finalise on where they intend using for the
final phase of their pre-season and he also disclosed that Katsina
United pulled out of the Shehu Dikko pre-season tournament in Kaduna but
didn’t give any reason.
